Christmas window painting at LauraLynn House

Alaura-lynn-executive-connectionss we move towards the end of 2016, our involvement with LauraLynn as our chosen charity for 2016 continues. In advance of kicking off their Christmas celebrations, it was with great pleasure that we helped decorate LauraLynn House at Leopardstown, Dublin.  We were tasked with transforming their windows throughout the buildings by painting festive scenes armed with paintbrushes, paint, Santa hats, Christmas music and chocolate to keep us fuelled throughout the day.  So now they are ready to let the celebrations begin this Sunday at 5pm, everyone is welcome to join them at Laura Lynn House to sing Christmas Carols and light their Christmas Tree and of course admire the amazing artistic talent on their windows!

The LauraLynn Children’s Hospice Foundation was set up in 2001 by Jane and Brendan McKenna after their daughters, Laura four and 13-year-old Lynn, died within two years of each other.  Their dream was to establish Ireland’s first children’s hospice, dedicated to the memory of their daughters, and they worked tirelessly raising funds to do this.  In 2006 they merged with the Children’s Sunshine Home Hospice Project, and finally, in 2011, their dream was fulfilled with the opening of Laura Lynn House in 2011.

Speaking about the day Hilarie Geary, CEO of Executive Connections said: “LauraLynn do amazing work with the children and families they work with. From the moment you walk in the door of LauraLynn house, you get an overwhelming feeling of how important a place it is to those who avail of their services. To get on site, meet the staff and children and see the amazing work they do first hand was great. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day and it feels great to be able to play a part in bringing festive cheer to the hospice.”
