Compliance Specialist – GDPR and Data Protection (DAILY RATE CONTRACT)
My client, a large financial services organisation is looking to hire a number of Compliance Specialists on daily rate contracts to assist with the delivery of their General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) programme.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked on large scale Compliance, Data Protection, AML or PSD projects.
The role holder will be required to understand and advise on all Data Protection Regulations impacting the Group, providing interpretations on the application of the regulations to the groups business and oversight on business proposals where relevant.
The role holder will write the Compliance Standards, guidance documents and assist in the development of training
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in data protection matters and to provide advice and guidance to the GDPR Implementation Programme
- Support development of a data protection framework and policy for the Group.
- Develop GDPR compliance standards for key GDPR articles, including: Records of Processing, Rectification and Erasure, SARs, Consent, Third-parties, Portability, Objection and Restriction.
- Develop GDPR guidance documentation and assist in the documentation of training manuals.
- Provide advice, guidance & training to other compliance colleagues as required on data protection developments.
Skills & Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in a compliance role.
- A strong understanding of data protection law and regulation and how to apply it in a business environment, readily commanding confidence as an expert in your professional field
- Good understanding of data protection & compliance risks across the banking industry
- A relevant professional qualification (legal, ACOI or relevant data protection qualification).
- Strong influencing & communications skills and has the confidence to deal with management at all levels.
- Organizational and project management skills
