Overview

I am currently looking to speak with a talented data analyst to join a major financial services provider located in Dublin West. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join and progress in a major dynamic organisation.

Summary of role:

Understand our customers and business and act on the key indicators to, enhance customer experience, increase revenue, reduce cost and optimise business performance

Provide an MI, Analytical and Reporting capability from a consistent, accurate and reconciled source of data.

The data team is responsible for defining and executing data strategy by leading the transformation of the enterprise into a data-centric world that is fully connected, operationally efficient and capable of delivering data whose quality is beyond reproach. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of a significant strengthening of our information generation, flow, reconciliation and distributions ensuring all information needs, both regulatory and business are adhered to
  • Support the delivery of a single, consistent, accurate and reconciled source of data for MI, Analytics and Reporting
  • Engage with the relevant IT and business stakeholders to ensure that the requests are delivered to specifications on time and within agreed standards
  • Assist in raising the profile of data within the Bank
  • Assist in the analysis of business requirements to assess data impact and define data infrastructure requirements in conjunction with other Data stakeholders
  • Look for solutions to prevent Data quality issues arising, such as changes to Business Processes, IT change etc.
  • Develop and test Proof of Concepts relating to data mapping and transformation
  • Ensure and stand over the quality of own work and assists colleagues in identifying quality issues
  • Professionally document work requests, outputs and conclusions, appropriately tailored to the specific stakeholder demands of each engagement in accordance with the SDLC process
  • Develop an understanding of the business and its operations to determine and agree the business specifications and prioritise the delivery of relevant data items.
  • Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure that the data is interpreted and validated correctly and work with them to develop an improved data processes.
  • Understand how data is organised within database/file management systems and how to access/manage it appropriately

Successful Candidate

  • The successful candidate must have 2 years’ experience within financial services
  • Excellent SQL and VBA experience
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills required
  • Experience dealing with large volumes of complex data
  • Business analytics experience preferred.
  • BA in related field
  • Experience dealing with referencing data and pricing data
  • Results focused.
