My client has had a presence in Dublin since 1997. They have separate entities under their umbrella including asset management, fund management and Life insurance. They are a very progressive company that seek opportunities and initiatives across all areas that they believe will help them grow as a business. Your main responsibility in this role will be to develop and maintain a buy list of funds used to support the creation of a broad range of fund of fund portfolios. You will work in close conjunction with Portfolio Managers in order to identify the best fund ideas according to my client’s Fund selection criteria. 

The company and also this team is growing so there is excellent opportunity here. They are based in an excellent Dublin location with not too far from the Aviva Stadium. 

 

Remuneration for Senior Equity Fund Selection Analyst Job:

Salary depending on experience could reach €55K plus bonus and benefits package on offer. 

 

Key Responsibilities for Senior Equity Fund Selection Analyst Job:

  • Create a buy list across certain buy list areas. 
  • Maintain strong knowledge of allocated peer categories as per Morningstar.
  • Continuously update the fund buy list. Removing no longer attractive propositions and also form a “bench” of potential managers.
  • Mentor other team members. 
  • With the use of sound quantitative techniques determine areas of efficiency improvement.
  • Meet with external fund managers to understand the investment approach in a clearer way.
  • Reseqarch into active manager trends.
  • Onboarding of new managers and target funds.
  • Present to the investment committee where required. 

 

Skills Required for Senior Equity Fund Selection Analyst:

  • 5 years asset management experience in a similar role. 
  • Experience tracking and selecting outperforming managers. Primarily on Equity.
  • Strong knowledge of investment markets.
  • Quantitative analysis experience.
  • CFA qualification is advantageous.
  • Excellent knowledge of fund research.
  • Ability to pitch investment ideas. 
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and Morningstar an advantage.
