My client, a well-recognised financial services firm with a global reach and a large footprint within the Irish Market are seeking a Qualified Accountant who has approximately 3 – 5 years’ experience working with an Internal Audit function. The successful candidate will ideally b Big 4 trained with a good understanding of the insurance industry either reinsurance, general or Life Insurance.
You will be heavily involved in the group wide risk based internal audit plans and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Develop, Implement and maintain the groups internal audit plan
- Plan, organise and execute the Internal audit process including the reporting of internal financials and business processes
- Carry out SOX testing on Internal controls
- Identify any new risks applicable to the company
- Work closely with senior management and external parties to meet requirements and expectations.
- Other ad hoc projects
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant – ACA / ACCA / CPA
- 3-5 years working in a similar role
- Good understanding of the accountancy standards – IFRS & US GAAP
- Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
