The Role:

  • Provide support to FP&A Manager in the preparation and delivery of the annual budget and in production of regular rolling forecasts.
  • Collaborating with the purchase department to collate budget and forecast data for submission to Head Office.
  • Assist with assembling departmental budget and forecast projections.
  • Completion of intercompany forecasts, liaising with various counterparties to confirm alignment for budget submissions.
  • Provide support on production of Legal Entity budget, ensuring global and local budget systems are up to date and fully synchronised.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular cashflow forecasts.
  • Assist with monitoring and critically analysing the monthly operating expenditure of the business, comparing results against budget, forecast, prior year, prior month and other key performance metrics.
  • Provision of in depth quarterly purchase dept. analysis, proactively investigating deviations against budget, prior year and monthly movements. Highlighting any significant fluctuations, with detailed explanations, to Head Office.
  • Support month-end close process in collaboration with wider Finance team.
  • Review AP and Accounting entries to ensure expenses are classified accurately to the appropriate GL account (purchase dept.) and allocated to the appropriate Business Line (cost centre). Booking of accruals and intercompany recharges, as needed.
  • Financial Modelling
  • Constructing models for efficient reporting of historical financial information as well as developing predictive models for projecting future outcomes e.g. scenario analysis for evaluating new business initiatives.
  • Building and maintaining standard costing models for use in establishing intercompany recharge models and for budget projections.
  • Project work
  • Role will include ad-hoc project work, particularly in the areas of automation, refinement and/or redesign of processes, to help the Finance team efficiently and effectively meet the continually evolving needs of the business.
